(Aviation Nepal) Starting July 4, Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) will be operating regular flights from Kathmandu to Osaka (Japan). This route will be restarted by the carrier after a gap of 12 years. These thrice a week flights will be of 6 hours 30 minutes duration connecting Nepal and Japan.
Tickets are available for Kathmandu-Osaka-Kathmandu air routes. Nawaraj Koirala, NAC Assistant Spokesperson stated that the corporation has allocated NRs. 45,000 ticket price for one way and NRs. 80,000 for two ways. On the other hand, the corporation will open internet booking soon.
According to the flight schedule, NAC will operate three flights weekly on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. NAC’s aircraft – A330-200 will take off at 2:30 AM from Kathmandu and land at 11:55 AM in Osaka according to local time whereas as per the local time of Osaka, the aircraft will take off at 1:55 PM and will land at 6 PM in Kathmandu.
NAC has already appointed Santosh Pandey as its Country Manager in Japan and he has also made necessary preparation for catering, ticket counter, ground handling, security, etc. to serve the passengers at their best.
In the second phase, NAC has started processing as it has planned to conduct scheduled flights to Narita International Airport. The corporation has informed that after commencing flights to Narita, the corporation will operate 2-2 flights weekly. Previously, NAC used to operate two flights weekly and stopped its flight services due to the lack of aircraft.
The corporation is also preparing to operate flights China, South Korea, Riyadh and to other European countries.
